HI, All,

I installed the openstack with it required service i.e glance, cinder, keystone etc. My scenario is:- glance: I have 2 images (cirros and ubuntu) cinder: created a lvm cinder-volumes of 80 GB.

I launched 4 instances ubuntu and 2 of cirros. I want to know the location where these instance are located. I need all this instance to be in my cinder-volumes. Please let me know how could this be done. Any link and help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in Advance !!

Instance information is stored in libvirt.xml file. This file can be found in /var/lib/nova/instances/<instance-id>/libvirt.xml. Instance specific information is stored here. From here you can know that where your instance is actually stored. Also if you want that your instances should be stored in cinder-volumes than you have to configure nova-compute for this.
