Is PCI passthrough networking available in Juno?

Juno has added support in nova/neutron for SR-IOV networking.(nic type etc) Isn't there a similar requirement for PCI passthrough devices too( non SR-IOV)? Can the 'direct' nic type be used for this?

Has anyone really tried this out? i.e. using the direct or macvtap vnic type for PCI passthrough? Do we still need the sriovnicswitch mechanism driver in non SR-IOV pci passthrough?

The implementation for passing through a whole device versus passing through a single virtual function is actually the same. In both cases the device type can be direct or macvtap. For more details refer to:
