hi people,

i can't run my first instance because if i try to run this command line

 nova boot --flavor m1.tiny --image cirros-0.3.2-x86_64 --nic net-id=0e6256fa-7302-4958-a43b-85d29e729a01 --security-group default --key-name demo-key instance001 --availability-zone nova:compute100

i see in nova list the status of my instance in ERROR

if i run this

nova boot --flavor m1.tiny --image cirros-0.3.2-x86_64 --nic net-id=0e6256fa-7302-4958-a43b-85d29e729a01 --security-group default --key-name demo-key instance00

the state no change from the Build

In the scheduler.log i can read this "No hosts matched due to not matching 'force_hosts' value of 'compute100'" where compute100 is my virtual compute node... and in nic net-id i paste the id of demo-net

Where/what's is the problem? Attached my scheduler.log here

By the use of --availability-zone in your nova boot command, you force nova to lunch an instance on your specific host. Run the following command to check whether the compute100 is valid compute server or not:

nova hypervisor-list

If the compute100 was not on the output list, so you entered incorrect value for availability zone. Replace it by the correct one.

(Hint: Use flavor_ID in your nova boot command instead of m1.tiny. This is what openstack standard doc used)

thanks! Now this problem is solved... i had edit the string with the flover_id(my inadvertence) and the hypervisor name listed in nova hypervisor-list...but the instance not boot anyway and it's in build state

Yeeess! First instance is up.... i had to restart openstack-nova-compute service on the compute node, e run the nova boot command like the documentation (with id and not by name...)

THANKS! :)
