docker-registry needed when adding a compute with docker driver?

Hi, I'm trying to use docker with my RDO installation, as referred in this question.

Trying to understand why my configuration is not working, I read this blog post. So I'm a little bit confused, as I never installed docker-registry in my compute node. Is that procedure still valid and I have to install it (and configure it accordingly) in order to correctly work with Openstack?

Thanks in advance!

You do not need to install a private registry in order to use the nova-docker driver. The nova-docker pulls image from Glance, as documented, e.g., here.
