We are preparing to build a new cloud application and are evaluating platforms. I am trying to find information on how to best use openstack when building an application. Most of the information I have found describes openstack itself, but I have had a hard time seeing exactly how some of the components of openstack are used by a cloud application. Any information that can be provided would be greatly appreciated.

If you're mainly going to consume OpenStack's API you'll find some details in the API section of the official OpenStack docs. YOu may also want to look at the list of known SDKs on the wiki. If this is not what you have in mind, please be more specific and describe in more details what your application needs to use.

I had looked through the API section previously, but as I read it, they were intended for communication between the OpenStack services. It sounds like that is not the only case. I also hadn't seen the SDKs before, which will be a great springboard. Let me give everything a proper review, and...
