Hey, I am trying to find out how do I configure nova client CLI tool to consume image APIs from Glance service instead of nova v2.0. Someone can help?

Thanks,

Maty.

I am not sure why you want to do that! I would rather suggest you to use the Glance CLI if you want to talk directly to the Glance service.

It is not that I want to do that. It is what the tool itself does (you see the flow of requests when you add --debug to the command). I would rather the CLI direct its call to Image APIs to Glance instead to Nova.

AFAIU, the Nova CLI is meant to provide uniform interface irrespective of the image backend (which could be Glance or S3 or something else). So, making Nova CLI to talk directly to Glance service would mean hard-coupling it to work only with Glance!

My question from the begining was whether it is possible to allow the user to select from what service to have the images information (that is - can it be configurable).

There isn't currently this ability in the nova cli tool. Suggest asking on openstack-dev mailing list (https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/Maili... ) about a feature request, as well as describing the problem you are aiming to solve.
