It seems that packstack removes virbr0, which I'd like to keep for VM creation.

Anyone know why it is removed?

Can I retain it?

I don't know why packstack requires to remove virbr0; it seems unnecessary. A re-installation of libvirt RPM and a reboot restores interface virbr0. This is the least effort method. No adverse effect on openstack.

Ignore my comment above about no adverse effect. /usr/bin/nova-compute was removed when I reinstalled libvirt. Not a problem if you do not want compute on controller node.

Been performed properly packstack does not remove virbr0.

Properly being? All I did was run 'packstack --allinone'. Before virbr0 existed, afterwards, it did not.

Just to be clear, I'm referring to the default set-up from installation of libvirt etc. during OS installation.
