multiple compute driver on single host (adding Docker)

asked 2014-10-07 03:12:46 -0500

Hi guys,

I'm wondering if it is possible to use many compute drivers on a single host; I have a working RDO (Icehouse, single host, KVM) installation and I'm trying to install docker and try it on that installation. Is it possible to use both driver on a single host?

This multi driver configuration will allow us to use, for example, KVM and Docker on the same host, but AFAIK the compute_driver property in nova.conf is not a multivalue property. Am I right?

Thanks in advance

Simply you can't have an host running two different dirvers... So you are right, there is no support to a multi driver configuration on a single host
