Hi, I want to make a cloud image for SLES 11 sp3. Every thing seem OK but install cloud-init. As you know,cloud-init has been a defacto multi-distribution package that handles early initialization of a cloud instance. please help me~ is there cloud-init rpm package and package dependencies in sles 11 sp3?

You can build an image with https://susestudio.com/ . There you can include cloud-init .

I realize this is a dated question but I found my way here via Google. There is a repo that contains cloud-init that works on SLES 11.3 here: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Cloud:/Tools/SLE_11_SP3/Cloud:Tools.repo (http://download.opensuse.org/reposito...)

cloud-init and dependencies are available for SLES11 as part of SuSE Cloud at the time of this writing. You must be subscribed to the channel to get access.

I also needed cloud-init and as I don't have access to the SuSE Cloud repositories I used an image from SuSE Studio (there is an option to include cloud-init)...as it was for testing purposes it was enough for my needs.

I found that a lot of stuff is also available on the OpenSuSE site for SLES (but I didn't test those).

The repos for different OpenStack versions are all available online. See https://build.opensuse.org/project/subprojects/Cloud:OpenStack (https://build.opensuse.org/project/su...) . SUSE Cloud is based on theses packages. So you don't need to be subscribed to something to get access. Building a image with cloud-init : https://susestudio.com/
