Is it possible to shut off the router or disable(not delete) an interface of the router and then re-enable it? I want to do this for network connectivity testing purpose.

I have gone through the command options available in Neutron API. router-delete or router-interface-delete commands are there, but there is no such command like router-disable or router-enable.

Please help me figure out the solution.

I think you can use remove_router_interface to disable connection with subnet, or set router's external_gateway_info to null to disable the external route
