In booting an instance on Compute node, what to do with 'authentication'?

Hello! I'm following the installation and configuration steps on http://docs.openstack.org/icehouse/install-guide/install/apt/content/launch-instance.html (http://docs.openstack.org/icehouse/in...) . I've tried to launch an instance of Cirros. But I've never succeed. I can see nova-schedule.log on compute node displays: 'Unauthorized: Authentication required'.

I set up all nodes in different VMs using QEMU.

I've pasted the error output down here. Can anyone give hints on what I need to do on compute node to do authentication?

Great thanks!

Disclaimer: Newbie here. My thoughts: Scheduler should run on the controller, not the compute node. Your trace looks garbled; do you need to reinstall nova? The reference to authentication could mean that your nova.conf doesn't set up keystone correctly, e.g. neutron_admin_auth_url parameter.

The issue is enough disk space unavailability.

2014-09-11 23:30:30.436 901 WARNING nova.scheduler.host_manager [req-a452c062-a105-44da-8a20-b2417902c657 9a6fb67d19c44b95b299fc0d6007a03e a8c813f2bd9b4d41b895f933bac32c3d] Host has more disk space than database expected (4gb > 1gb)

The instance you are trying to create has a disk space of 4 gb, try making it with a lesser disk space.
