I just want ot know if it'is possible to deploy OpenStack nodes on an hyper-v Hypervisor. I ask that because hyper-v seem to doesn't allow promiscous mode for the guest. And Neutron needs promiscous mode allowed.

Thx. qmo.

ATM you can use Hyper-V as compute node, see:

Instead, if you want to run OpenStack entirely on Hyper-V, as you pointed out, the real blocker for a Neutron VM with full L3 support is the lack of promiscuous mode.

We're thinking about writing an Hyper-V switch extension filter to allow promiscuous mode if there's enough interest around it.

Thanks for your answer. I'm going to install OpenStack on XenServer and then I'll see if i use hyper-v as computes node.
