I am using Ubuntu 14.04 and completed installation of devstack(main branch). By default i have one public and private network. I created a instance in demo project and i got the ipv4 address successfully. Now i created a subnet in private network with ipv6 fd10:1::/48 . In the VM i get only IPV4 and i get ipv6 only as a Link and not global. Even link is not in the subnet range what i gave.

Network type by default taken as VXLAN

I even set use_ipv6 = True in nova.conf and restarted the service. Still it was not working. I tried with new private network only with IPV6, Even in that case i don't get Global ipv6 address.

Is IPV6 supported in openstack/devstack? I am using the main branch.

As far as I know, ipv6 is not really there. Guys from Nephos6 ( ) did some patches to make openstack work with IPv6 (I know in practice that their patches work, we have one IceHouse OpenStack installation patched and configured by them, and it's operational). For Havana, you can find a link to a guide here: . For IceHouse it should be a bit different because of introduced ML2 plugins drivers (if I'm not mistaken)

@Tul. After a long try i am able to make ipv6 to work with FLAT network type. However when i change to VLAN configuration. dnsmasq process is not running for IPV6. It leases only for IPV4. Also i am trying in the juno(master branch).
