Need to update my existing running network with multi_host=true Have updated nova.conf and updated all compute nodes.

using nova-network (Havana) - network_manager=nova.network.manager.FlatDHCPManager.

Have looked everywhere - how can I update the network?

Or do I have to delete the existing network and recreate the network again?

A bit reluctant to just delete the network. Can I manually update the mysql row for database nova table network?

I don't think you can delete a network if there are instances using it. Last time I change network, I need to delete the instances as well. Good thing though that I was using boot from volume so no major impact on the user's VM. I also need to stop nova-compute, nova-network and kill dnsmasq and then start services.

As for just updating the network table. It won't be immediately use by the VM unless you do a hard reboot, so that it will recreate the xml file..but I won't be so sure if it's going to be clean.

Good luck!
