Hi,

I am installing OpenStack using devstack. I simply run the script by ./stack.sh The installation is stuck at a point for infinite time. The last message displayed during installation is:

msgpack-python is already the newest version.

What could be the problem?

have you configured localrc or local.conf? sudo apt-get install python-dev then dowload devstack from stable source. Refer this link: https://github.com/osrg/ryu/wiki/OFAg...

Yes, I have configured local.conf and have downloaded devstack from stable source. This is not the first time I am running the stack.sh script. I have stacked and unstacked successfully a number of times using the very same stack.sh and unstack.sh script. I have also run clean.sh script.

I am unable to figure out what is the problem.. I have even tried stacking with a fresh download of devstack from https://github.com/openstack-dev/devs... -b stable/icehouse , but the problem persists.
