Hi. I'm new to Openstack and Opendaylight and trying to figure out how these two are related.

So, in my search, I found this: (link text)

I found the last paragraph a bit confusing. I've read that the OpendayLight Controllers have deeper network knowledge and far-reaching network element configuration skills, according to policies defined at a higher level of abstraction (Openstack). So I feel like OpenDaylight is the "How" and OpenStack the "Why".

Also, how does the integration of OpenDaylight in OpenStack's Neutron "moves the complexity up the stack from OpenStack to OpenDaylight"? Isn't it the other way around (down the stack, at least from an abstraction point of view)?

Cheers, MS
