As per the Tokens definition of the OpenStack Manuals -> ( , autid_ids is a required attribute and hence expected to be returned in the repose to POST /v3/auth/tokens operation.

However the API Documentation Reference Identity API v3 (STABLE) -> ( does not talk about this required attribute either in the POST /v3/auth/tokens or GET /v3/auth/tokens.

Is this a documentation issue? Is it required to return this attribute in both POST /v3/auth/tokens and GET /v3/auth/tokens responses?

Wow!. They updated the doc too soon. It is part of Juno code base. If you get the code from master, you will see audit_ids

Thanks Haneef for the prompt response. We are in the middle of implementing an OpenStack gateway. If we support Identity V3.2 do we need to support audit_ids attribute? Where can I find a mapping between the API version number (Identity V3.1) and the OpenStack release code names (Juno, Icehouse, etc)

Normally the top of the document will have what is new in version X. In case of audit_ids, they forgot to update it. Btw the response for token is not schema driven and no client is going to validate audit_id. So you are free to implement with or without audit_id
