Hello,

I try to upload a 16 GB Windows image (qcow2). The file is transferred over the internet to the cloud. Unfortunately, my upload speed is not very fast. I need about 3 hours to upload the file.

Glance-Client shows me at the end an error message 500 (internal server error Failed to upload image). On the dashboard, the image has the status "saving". But nothing happens.

I tried the same at a friends house with a better upload rate. The image was completed in 40 minutes. There it worked perfectly.

I have searched the internet for an answer. But nowhere I could read abut a time limit or something. Also I could not find a bug report about this problem.

Does anybody knows, where this problem can come from? Is it possible, that the client loose the authentication or something?

BTW: the progress bar is at 100% at the end.

Hi,

I am not sure but below configuration of "glance-registry.conf" And/OR "glance-api.conf" may be the cause of your issue-

Period in seconds after which SQLAlchemy should reestablish its connection to the database. ( Deprecated name - sql_idle_timeout )

[database]

idle_timeout = 3600

Thanks a lot for your answer Ankur. I will try this. If it works, I will notice it here.
