Hi,

I have installed open stack and created one instance. Now i want to assign fixed ip to it. Since I have only few IP's available so want to assign it explicitly instead of creating instance itself.

Basically anyway to assign non-contiguous ip to instances.

while creating public/ private subnet, what ever the IP available you can mention in dhcp pool. so when you launch new vm or assigning new floating ip you will get it.

Can you please tell how to add in dhcp pool..any command to run on openstack shell?

There is a command to create network Nova network-create But then when using this command does not give me expected output. Eg , if ip range is given xx.xx.xxx.182/31 then it is assigning network range as xx.xx.xxx.0/24 But I want only 2 ip to be in fixed range.

@dsingha you can create using dashboard while creating public subnet. I had only 3 free IP and I gave in above, so for every new VM I assigned the 1 of the 3 IP.
