what is use of ec2-credentials table in keystone database?

What is use of ec2-credentials table in Keystone database? The table contains following schema

| secret    | varchar(64) | YES  |     | NULL    |       |

i am not getting the purpose of this table?

That table is used to support the Amazon EC2 compatible API. Authentication to the EC2 API requires an access key and a secret key. This table stores the credentials used to support this authentication.
