I am new to openstack and testing Icehouse. I am little confused on the three different endpoints. Can some one please help or guide me to understand the three different endpoints better?

Regards, Arumon

For most deployments you can use the same IP address on whichever network you want to use. The idea of public/private/admin will be more useful when you are doing a production deployment that requires a separation of networks for security. Public endpoints will be accessible to end users, private may only be accessible to local users, and admin can be something that only the administrative team has access to. You could think of it like:

Public : Internet
Private : Intranet
Admin : Management Network/Only users with access to the management network can hit it within the local network.

For the purpose of test installs they can all be the same.

Thanks Mpetason. Can you please let me know which all services needs to be configured on each network. Also request you to share if there is any production refference architecture.

It all depends on your configuration. Every service can be on all the networks, or only use one internal network. The reference architecture would depend on what type of configuration you want to achieve.
