I am trying to install Ceilometer in my Devstack installation, using this link http://docs.openstack.org/developer/ceilometer/install/development.html

I understand that all the configuration for localrc has to be done in local.conf, but there is no nova configure file and adding instance_usage_audit to localrc section does not work.

Also when I want to debug it, I cant find the log file, except /opt/stack/logs/stack.sh.log

In short- how to install ceilometer in devstack (single node) and how to configure it ?

the redhat guys have put together a good installation guide for ceilometer http://ceilometer.readthedocs.org/en/latest/install.html (here)

one more interesting guide to test the working of Ceilometer and accessing it via CLI is http://terriyu.info/blog/posts/2013/07/installing-devstack-ceilometer/#install_devstack (here)

Hope it helps !! Cheers.!!
