Openstack nova, cinder, neutron and swift default drivers are hardware agnostic?

Hi All,

Need to test openstack against different hardware.

Can you please let me know if the default drivers(Nova libvirt (KVM) driver, Cinder LVM drive, Neutron and Swift default drivers) of OpenStack are hardware agnostic or dependent on a particular hardware?

Also can you please let me know which tempests tests or category of tempest tests to run to exercise the basic sanity of these drivers?

Thanks, Ashraf

If you're just talking about different brands of common hardware, yes the drivers are hardware agnostic.

It's only when you start looking at alternate architectures (eg ARM, POWER), where there might be some differences, but these are mainly to do with underlying libraries (eg KVM) that OpenStack depends on, rather than OpenStack itself.
