How to attach two interfaces in the same subnet to the instance?

I want to use the heat orchestration template (HOT) to boot up an instance. The instance is required to have two interfaces, but in the same subnet, e.g., eth1: 192.168.100.3 and eth2: 192.168.100.2, or eth0:1 192.168.100.3 and eth0:2 192.168.100.2. I tried several methods, but there is always error message "duplicated network". Is there anyone knowing how to do this by using HOT?

Did you try to set "allow_overlapping_ips = True" in /etc/neutron/neutron.conf

Hi Totten, I did not set the allow_overlapping_ips=True, since I think the default value is "true". But I will try it later. Thank you for the answer!

Hi Totten, I tried to enable the allow_overlapping_ips to be True, but things are the same.
