Hi all, I've browsed some hours to identify the best way to move some Windows files from a shared directory to an Openstack Swift. I mean, what's teh best back end for files and you have some docs availables to get a better understanding of this? KR, Marco.

It would be pretty complicated, but you could run Open vStorage on top of your swift cluster. Then spin up some KVM nodes to run a Linux VM + Samba on the virtual Filesystem & share it out that way. (Or heck, even run a Windows VM on top of KVM).

The Volumes in your VMs would all be backed by Swift, and you'd be able to load up quote a bit of data into them.
