I do not have a physical server to work with so I am trying to install "HP Helion Openstack virtual installation" on a virtual machine. I am using VMware workstation 10. On my VM I have 22GB of RAM, 150 GB of disk space and enabled "Virtualize Intel VT-x/EPT or AMD-V/RVI. I read this post: [https://ask.openstack.org/en/question/29707/helion-openstack-community-installation-fails-after-timing-out/] which seems to be the problem I have. I increased the wait time and I made sure that the OS_USERNAME and OS_PASSWORD were correctly set. But when I run the installation I always get to a point where the seed VM will not boot:

So apparently it is an error with the AMD processors and will be fixed in the next release of the virtual installer?

However I was wondering if anyone was able to "bypass" this and made it work on a VM ?

Thank you,

HP Helion uses undercloud VMs to launch its overcloud VMs. So, it will be very slow if you use a VM ti deploy Helion. I was able deploy Helion in a single server (HP DL360) but, the performance is very poor. I don't think deploying in a VM is a good idea for current version of Helion.
