Why do I get "Timed out" error when trying to create a glance image?

When i create image using "glance image-create --name=suresh --disk-format=qcow2 --container-format=bare < linux.img file.

I getting timed out error.

The other place to look to provide more information is in the logs for glance - typically /var/log/glance/glance-api.log, which should at least show the request if it made it to the API endpoint, and may show more detail as to why the request timed out.

You're not giving enough information for helping you. You can use the --debug cli argument in order to get more useful information.

The other place to look to provide more information is in the logs for glance - typically /var/log/glance/glance-api.log, which should at least show the request if it made it to the API endpoint, and may show more detail as to why the request timed out.

Try issuing the command with that argument and updating your question with the output. Also, add more info about your configuration, hosts, image size, etc.

I had faced a similar issue and was able to solve it. In the glance-api.conf file make sure that you have enabled only one among the two. Enable only V2 and restart all the services and try again. This should solve your issue.

Sorry I am not getting what you exactly want me to change. in the glance-api.conf file you suggest to enable only V2. could you please give some details knowledge regarding this.
