I am trying to launch an instance on specific compute node among multiple compute nodes through horizon. I can able to do the same scenario through command line but not through horizon. Can any one help me out to solve this issue.

Please provide configurations if any needed to solve this one. Thanks inadvance

Using CLI: nova boot --image <uuid> --flavor m1.tiny --key_name key --availability-zone nova:<serverx1,2>

By default you cannot do the same with Horizon, but by enhancing Horizon according to your need, then can do it. Else nova schedule will do the scheduling. Which we have done in lab through host-aggregation.

I think host-aggregation may be work. For icehouse, horizon supports this point. At first, you can add one host-aggregation which has the specific compute node. The host-aggregation belongs to one different availability-zone from nova, like CUSTOM. Then choose the az(CUSTOM) when creating an instance. Wish help~

it is a requirement not a problem. you need to customize horizon to your needs.

refer to this link and you need to browse to know which .py for editing. It is not a single line step and no guide available for this exact changes. Hence you need to learn more above link.
