hi everyone myself swagath, i need to know whether is it possible to install xen hypervisor on OpenStack instance with ubuntu OS on it. If so kindly suggest me how to do it.

Hi swagath, just to be sure what your question is asking for:

you already have an Openstack full working installation, you want to deploy a VM with Xen and then inside XEN instantiate a VM with Ubuntu OS (In this case you have two layers of virtualization!)
you want to deploy Openstack using XEN as hypervisor technology and then instantiate an Ubuntu VM on top of it

Which of these different configurations matches what you have in minds?

For option 1:

You install openstack normally: Openstack Ubuntu installation guide
You instantiate a VM (choose a distribution you are confortable to work with and be sure it has support for Xen Project), and on top of that VM you install XEN (try reading the getting started page of XEN project)
Once XEN is installed, instantiate the Ubuntu VM on top of it.
