I have havana setup installed with controller & network node in same host and storage & compute node in two different machines. Everything was worked fine but after adding SSL to keystone and SSL to apache, all ubuntu instance when launching sets with error "2014-07-16 05:25:32,176 - util.py[WARNING]: 'http://169.254.169.254/2009-04-04/meta-data/instance-id' failed [16/120s]: url error [[Errno 111] Connection refused]"

And fedora instance throws following error in horizon console log [ 205.139589] cloud-init[514]: 2014-07-16 05:27:49,710 - url_helper.py[WARNING]: Calling 'http://172.168.1.53//latest/meta-data/instance-id' failed [70/120s]: request error [HTTPConnectionPool(host='172.168.1.53', port=80): Max retries exceeded with url: //latest/meta-data/instance-id (Caused by <class 'socket.error'="">: [Errno 111] Connection refused)]

which fails to push keypair into the instance. So I am not able to loginto the instance.

Also I tried connecting metadata agent using the command curl http://169.254.169.254/openstack/late... which shows curl: (7) couldn't connect to host .

P.S.:- I have apache running with SSL, so i will listen in 443 port. Is any configuration to be added in metadata agent file while adding SSL to keystone and Apache?

Can anyone help me with the solution ?

If you added SSL to keystone, did you update your configuration files for all your other services (nova, neutron, cinder, etc) and restart the services?
