I want to create an openstack instance using a docker image. I'm trying to follow this tutorial here: but I'm having trouble making it work. Is there an easier way to push docker images on glance so I can boot an openstack instance from that image?

Please refer below link. And the best way to use is via heat. The preferred mechanism orchestrating Docker in OpenStack is via Heat, rather than treating Docker as a form of hypervisor in OpenStack, so the docker driver is deprecated and heat templates will help to create VM instances with docker containers running in them.

Same aproach ( just check for python-pip, python-pbr versions, upgrade via rawhide might be needed) would work on F21.

Moreover I have RDO Kilo Compute Node ( CentOS 7.1) running Nova-Docker Hypervisor
Stable branch for Kilo was checked out to make a build.

The guide you are referring to is for OpenStack Havana. In this release, docker was treated as a type of hypervisor. As mentioned by other users, it has been changed in the next OpenStack release (Icehouse)

docker save samalba/hipache | glance image-create --is-public=True --container-format=docker --disk-format=raw --name samalba/hipache
