I am following http://docs.openstack.org/havana/install-guide/install/apt/content/keystone-install.html (this) tutorial to setup KeyStone on my Ubuntu 13.10. All steps went well but on last when I run service keystone restart . It showed errors

stop: Unknown job: keystone
start: Unknown job: keystone

I had KeyStone 0.3.2 version Installed.

Hi,

check if

cat /etc/init/keystone.conf

exists and try

/etc/init.d/keystone restart

If nothing exists it shows your keystone isn't installed correctly. So try

apt-get install keystone --reinstall

Cheers Heiko

you obviously have missed the part which installs the keystone packages. Please run

$ apt-get install keystone --reinstall
