I am using the VMware Player VM having installed with Ubuntu 12.04 server . Now , I have installed the OpenStack via DevStack scripts on this VM . Everything went fine .

Successfully created the Instance from the OpenStack Horizon (Dashboard ) and it is running . I could login to this Instance using the Instance Console UI .

But from the Ubuntu server VM , I cannot ping to this Instance (private IP). Even I tried attaching the floating IP to this instance , still not able to ping the floating IP as well .

Please help me to resolve this issue urgently .. Looking forward to get your thoughts .
