soft reboot instance via Horizon vs. sudo reboot [closed]

Is there any difference between performing an OpenStack soft reboot instance through the web interface Horizon and SSH into the instance and perform sudo reboot?

Soft reboot will trigger a graceful shutdown with an ACPI event. This requires an ACPI daemon running to catch the events and trigger off of them inside the VM itself. reboot does not require ACPI. They trigger the same shutdown scripts past that.
