I am trying to create the images with the suggested documents of openstack, but having many issues with it. Main issue with the image auto resizing. I have selected the 10 GB image while creating the image. But when i am using that image with instance it is not able to partition as per the flavor. Always disk partition is showing 10GB for all the flavors . Metadata service is working fine as i am able to insert the KEYS.

Please suggest any solution or clue to resolve it.

You would need cloud-init and a way to grow the partition. It's different between ubuntu and centos so it depends on what type of linux volume you are deploying. If you are deploying windows then you need to sysprep and look at other ways to grow the instance volume.

Your best bet would be to download one of the ubuntu + centos qcow2 images, upload them, launch them, then go through and see what settings they use by default in /etc/cloud.cfg. You can mimic what they are doing by using similar options in your cloud config file. You can also look at what packages are installed like growpart and cloud-init and others.

The information above is how you build an image for openstack and have the root volume expand based on the specified amount in the flavor. You may be missing a step. I would recommend looking at cloud init in other images that are working properly and start from there.
