Hello,

I have installed Ubuntu Server 12.04.1 for the nova compute (in PV mode) and XCP. But for installing the XenAPI Plugins, we should install by : - "Manual Installation" and also "Packaged Installation" OR - "Manual Installation" or "Packaged Installation" ?

I'm a newbie and I don't understand how to do for make a packaged installation in ubuntu... if it's necessary.

I have set manually the plug-ins from "nova.master.zip" to /usr/lib/xcp/plugins but I have the errors (nova-compute.log) : "['XENAPI_PLUGIN_FAILURE', 'host_data', 'IOError', "[Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/usr/etc/xenhost.conf'"]." AND "CRITICAL nova [-] Cannot find SR to read/write VDI."

Someone can help me, please ? Thanks...

NB : I don't have a xenhost.conf in dom0

Do chmod 777 in /usr/lib/xcp/plugins

make directory /usr/etc

close domU (for dom0 don't fallow in maintenance mode)

Reboot dom0

In start, the domU (nova node) populate the /usr/etc with the xenhost.conf and there's no xenapi_plugin_failure !
