Hi, everyone, I got this error report: "Command output matched 'CREATE_FAILED'. Exiting...." after running hp_ced_installer.sh script.

  • My environment: HP ProOne 600 Haswell 2.6Ghz 8 GB of RAM 1T GB of Disk a proxy enabled network Ubuntu Server 14.04 LTS x64 for cloud

  • Here're what I've done step by step:

$ sudo apt-get install -y libvirt-bin openvswitch-switch python-libvirt qemu-system-x86 qemu-kvm openssh-server $ sudo /etc/init.d/libvirt-bin restart # ssh-keygen -t rsa $ sudo su - # mv hp_helion_openstack_community.tar.gz.csu hp_helion_openstack_community.tar.gz # tar zxvf hp_helion_openstack_community.tar.gz # HP_VM_MODE=y bash -x ~root/tripleo/tripleo-incubator/scripts/hp_ced_start_seed.sh ... Wed Apr 23 11:25:10 UTC 2014 --- completed setup seed # ssh 192.0.2.1 root@hLinux:~# bash -x ~root/tripleo/tripleo-incubator/scripts/hp_ced_installer.sh ... Command output matched 'CREATE_FAILED'. Exiting...

  • I've modified two scripts to extend the waiting time following Gqgnet's suggestion in this link: https://ask.openstack.org/en/question/30068/hp-helion-cloud-installation-problem-about-overcloud-node/?answer=31922#post-id-31922 (https://ask.openstack.org/en/question...) it didn't work for me, even later extended to 100 times, same error reported.

  • I've been worried a little bit about the file downloaded, which is " hp_helion_openstack_community.tar.gz.csu". Maybe a " *.csu " file is a temporary file, but I'm not very sure about it at first, because I've kept trying to download it for three times, same results coming up. After several installation failure, I thought the incomplete downloading might be the reason. Four of my colleagues kept trying to get the Community Virtual file, but all they could get was still "hp_helion_openstack_community.tar.gz.csu", 4.14 GB. We gave up at last. Removing .csu extension manually seems to be the only choice before I could start my installation.

  • Maybe my installation issues related to the Hardware Requirements that we haven't met yet. If at least 48 GB of RAM is the prerequisite of installing Helion OpenStack Community Virtual, then we cannot evaluate it now, too high for us, although we are very excited about the launching of Helion Community.

Anyone helping us? Thanks a lot!

By the way, Is there a HP Helion Community mailing list?

With 8GB of RAM I don't think you can install it.

Any how check the following. Login to undercloud and check the status of nova and other services.

$ssh heat-admin@192.0.2.2 ( BTW that is your undercloud ip from the logs you posted) $ sudo su - $ source stacrc $ nova list // if it nova is started , most probably it won't be $ ps -fe | grep -i python //-- check whether there any service started. alteast keystone should be up $ /var/log/upstrart -- look for service logs and os-collect-config log

See whether you see any error
