We are using devstack and the default database is mysql, I would like to know if it is possible change only the ceilometer backend to mongodb without affect or changing the configuration of the other databases. If possible how can I do that?

Thanks.

Sorry for answering my own question but the answer is yes it is possible change only the ceilometer database, to do so you have to change the file in devstack/lib/ceilometer @49 to:

CEILOMETER_BACKEND=${CEILOMETER_BACKEND:-mongo}

Make sure that you are installing ceilometer in your local.conf file and after installed check the file

/etc/ceilometer/ceilometer.conf

whether the os_auth_url is setted with the keystone endpoint or not.
