from yesterday and today, something amazed me.I hava installed Havana on three Ubuntu's hosts, one as a controller node, one as a compute node, one as a network node, and all things are right.Yesterday I want resize my instance,I did it on the Dashboard, there was no error, but the resize didn't change.I did it in the CLI,the instance always was active. Then as some forum suggested,I add these at the /etc/nova/nova.conf of the controller and compute node: allow_resize_to_same_host=true resize_confirm_window=5 scheduler_default_filters=AllHostsFilter allow_migrate_to_same_host=true and then restart the compute service, and resize the instance, the instance become pre-prepareing resize and always keep this I kill the nova-api process.then I can't launch instance, can't start instance, when I launch instance it become error immediately.I reboot the host and nova-manage db sync,it is also wrong.Even I want to reinstall the Openstack I restart the compute service and nova-manage db sync,it become right. But the resize always failed. What will I do?

Hi shengchao liu,

allow_resize_to_same_host=true, Useful when testing in single-host(compute node) environments.

You Already added this option, but the resize still failed. I suggest you should track detail info from log(/var/log/nova/compute.log at the compute node) when resize instance again.
