Hi all,

in my dashboard It show as below:

    VCPU Usage
    Used 8 of 16
    Memory Usage
    Used 14GB of 23GB
    Disk Usage
    Used 122.0GB of 18.0GB
----------
Hostname Type VCPUs (total) VCPUs (used) RAM (total) RAM (used) Storage (total) Storage (used) Instances
130 QEMU 8 2 7GB 4GB 9.0GB 40.0GB 1
131 QEMU 8 6 15GB 9GB 9.0GB 82.0GB 3

In this cluster, there are 2 comput nodes 130/131.I just want to know how to setup the resources VCPU\DISK\MEM etc.

And why the Storage(total) do not include Volume spaces. As shown above Storage(used) > storage(total).

I think it was no very kindly to show as like that.

Could you edit the question to include what nova hypervisor-statsnova hypervisor-show <id> returns on the CLI? The dashboard normally reports the values as they are provided by the APIs.

To overcommit CPU and RAM on compute nodes, the virtual cores can up to 16 per physical core, RAM allocation can up to 1.5. You can refer as to openstack-ops-mannual.

You can modify the disk storage path in /etc/nova/nova.conf, "state_path". By default, the path is /var/lib/nova. Maybe the volume of this partition is not enough. You'd better to copy your nova resources to new path, and change corresponding author and group.

We had the same issue, it seems to be a problem between nova and swift.

Did you restart these services ?

sudo systemctl restart openstack-nova*
sudo systemctl restart openstack-swift*
