In reference to OPENSTACK INSTALLATION GUIDE FOR UBUNTU 12.04/14.04 (LTS)

In nova.conf there are keys with a format (--):

--dhcpbridge_flagfile=/etc/nova/nova.conf
--dhcpbridge=/usr/bin/nova-dhcpbridge
--logdir=/var/log/nova
....

but following the guide I added some keys with this format (without --)

auth_strategy = keystone
rpc_backend = rabbit
rabbit_host = controller
.....

there are 2 different kind of formats!!! Is it correct?

Sorry, I made a mistake. In nova.conf there are keys with "--" format because I didn't add Icehouse repository to my OS Ubuntu 12.04. So nova.conf was update to version 12.1 (Folsom release I think)

The keys with -- format are actually parameters passed to nova-api when the service is launched. You can also have the keys putted normally in nova.conf, without the --. I think it doesn't change much as I have used both without any issues.
