From example the VirtIO drivers have been overwritten from Windows server updates running. Now the disk/network interface aren't showing up just the windows boot recovery loads but that's it. So I would like to attach a volume or device containing the drivers. Any suggestions? This is for a grizzly openstack setup.

VirtIO should be the driver the enables the devices to be attached in the first place. It might be difficult to do this. You would probably look into solutions outside of OpenStack in the libvirt space. Editing the instance data and attaching a CDrom to it. That's outside of the scope of Openstack.
