I recently went through and allocated a subnet specifically for the cloud nodes to pull from, but now I need to remove the original subnet. I deleted all the tenant routers and subnets that were connected to the public network, but I can't get rid of the subnet contained in the public network. I have 2 subnets currently in it, one that is correct, and one that is old. How do I remove the old one.

I believe you can update the IP ranges via your mysql quantum database. Since openstack configurations are mainly on mysql, you should have no problems updating it through there.
