Hi Everyone

I am having a problem with accessing the publicurl when creating images. This is with Ubuntu 14.04 on the hosts, I have followed the installation document and am able to access the publicurl from Chrome without errors, so believe it is correctly configured. But once I try the test image create option from the docs, I get a publicurl endpoint not found.

I would be grateful for some advice as have searched this site and the internet and seen issues around this, which i have tried but not successfully.

After many attempts, I found this site which has an excellent guide to installing the core modules of Openstack and more importantly, I followed the guide and got a working Openstack. Although not started any instances, my horizon dashboard is accessible without any visible errors.

I still have some installation issues and will raise them under another question.

Thanks to Haneef for his guidance.

Look at the service catalog. You should have endpoint of type publicURL for glance. Not sure how you configured your keystone catalog. It may be be eitehr templated or sql based. If it is sql based, check the keystone database. If it is templated check the template file

Thanks Haneef

I'll take another look and maybe start again. The default.catalog.template has the region name as RegionOne but the database records are all showing regionOne. I setup all details via the cli rather than catalog, I will try the other method now.

Try keystone endpoint-list

This will list all the endpoints used by keystone. Here for glance you should see publicurl
