I am planning to upgrade my Folsom(with nova-network) to Grizzly, but one of my concern is whether the Grizzly with Quantum can work on IPv6.

I know IPv4/IPv6 dual stack mode works with VlanManager and FlatDHCPManager networking modes. Does anyone know how to deploy IPv6 in Grizzly/Quantum and really working???

Brucelok, darragh-oreilly, quick note, we released our step-by-step guide of enabling OpenStack for IPv6 in the Havana release. Enjoy!

This is a very in-depth document on the gap that needs to be closed.

Update: the first 10 minutes of this video gives the status of IPv6 in Havana and the plan for Icehouse.

Please look at our paper referenced by darragh, it walks you step by step through the setup process and the adjustments needed to make things work. If you need help, let us know.

FYI, we are releasing our paper on Havana+IPv6 next week. Not quite the same as Grizzly so it will be interesting.

Great paper - thanks! For the DAD problem you might try disabling hairpin mode on the tap in the Linux bridge that connects the VIF to br-int. Comment out self._enable_hairpin(...) in nova/virt/libvirt/ and restart nova-compute.
