Install Synaptic and look for qemu-img. You need certain packages to be installed along with qemu-img
$ sudo apt-get install qemu-utils -y
ubuntu@ubuntutrs02:~$ sudo qemu-img | more
qemu-img version 2.0.0, Copyright (c) 2004-2008 Fabrice Bellard
usage: qemu-img command [command options]
QEMU disk image utility

I have resolved the issue by installing qemu on my system. I ran command apt-get install qemu on my controller node and restarted the services.
