Hi, I have 2 IBM x3650 and 2 HP DL 380 servers and SAN storage. I wanted to build private cloud for virtualization and VDI with open source solutions without spending money for licensing. I worked lot on vmware, but since its heavy cost I can not opt it. I am very new to open source softwares. Please help me to choose appropriate software/tool to build private cloud for virtualization and VDI Thanks

Not sure about VDI, may be citix.

For Virtualization: You can quickly try with devstack by git clone from here https://github.com/openstack-dev/devs...

For RDO based: http://openstack.redhat.com/Quickstart

Then may be on Openstack's Guest VM you can use VDI tools.

Thanks.

Openstack RDO IceHouse on CentOS 6.5 would be a solution relaying on opensource Hypervisor KVM.
