Hi, Can some one tell me how to install Swift in Openstack. I want to play with Swift client commands and see the way how they work. The whole point is I want to replace AWS S3 with this. I installed Horizon on my Linux system. However I am not sure what else should I do to make Swift work?

You can start with Devstack and in local.conf file enable swift services like below: Link: http://devstack.org/configuration.html

enable_service s-proxy s-object s-container s-account

another link: http://devstack.org/lib/swift.html

Hi, You can do basic environment configuration like networking, database and messaging server, also install the identity service(keystone). Then follow the general installation steps of Object storage(Swift). Install and configure both storage nodes and proxy nodes properly as in the installation guide. I am sure you will enjoy it.
