ubuntu 14.0 Openstack Icehouse new installation
Hi All
I am about to setup a private cloud using Ubuntu 14.04 and the Icehouse release of Openstack. I have been reading the installation document on the Openstack website and have a few queries to do with the Ubuntu install side prior to Icehouse installation which the document appears to cover very comprehensively.
What is the standard install packages required for each of these nodes -- [1] combined controller/network node? [2]compute node using kvm for the Openstack instances?
regards Ian
can you detail your requirement, you might need Open-ssh, python-dev pacakages.
Hi Shankar
I might have not specifed the actual requirements correctly. This question relates to whether i just need to install Ubuntu 14.04 server with openssh package as only 'extra' from the base install on each of the servers. With the required packages being installed as part of the Icehouse setup.
I am not requiring a list of all packages required, but only the basic Ubuntu server installation required before attempting the Icehouse installation.
Further to this, do i need to mount the EQL SAN storage or just use the Cinder drivers with correct credentials across the nodes.
regards Ian
I found i needed to add memcached, bridge-utils, novnc, tgt for my install (in addition to the openstack packages from the standard ubuntu repo).
