Hi,

I'm following the IceHouse openstack documentation and setting up the Openstack on Ubuntu 14.04 server, one of the step was to "Add a port to the external bridge that connects to the physical external network interface" soon after i run this "ovs-vsctl add-port br-ex eth0"the network stopped and its not able to connect to any IP's, I'm new to linux environment can any one help?

Thanks

i am facing the same problem, after adding the ovs external interface br-ext to the ext1 (physical public interface), connection lost to the server. I have applied manual configuration whatever mention in other blogs, but still its there.

Thank you very much for your reply.

How many NICs are you using? It looks like you are adding you mgmt link to br-ex and not you public network link.

Hi Jason,

I have only 1 network card and no public network card, if this is the case then I shouldn't bridge it? can i remove the bridge?
